How I'd love to say this is my favourite slow song for the past 2 and a half weeks. The fact is the first few seconds are misleading. But it's kind of like a roller coaster ride, a story very well told. Strip the amazing production on it and you're left with blissful vocals. The song's bridge is nothing short of spectacularly beautiful. The is the kind of song you'd love to dedicate someone but hope you never have to. And when the mark hits 3 minutes and 43 seconds, everything else disappears but these crooning vocals that end every verse in the most wonderful vibrato (I can't tell if it's organic or plugin-born — who the f*ck cares):
I don't care what they think about me and
I don't care what they say,
I don't care what they think if you were to leave me
I will beg you to stay.
I don't care if they start to avoid me,
I don't care what they do.
I don't care about anything else but
Being with you, being with you.
When the song comes back to its usual drum-beats you're back to stop lamenting yourself and on to the dancefloor. I keep asking myself, How Can She?
