Since I will be out of town tomorrow and for the rest of the week I thought I'd share a couple of songs with you this morning so you can freshen up that weekend playlist to the beach or wherever it is you're headed.
First of all, if you're feeling lazy and looking for a one-stop-shop mixtape for all your music needs look no further than Air Zaire's 3rd instalment of his Modern Summer series. It's got so many good tunes that I couldn't make up my mind on which to pick out. Thank you Alvaro Sanchez for the heads up.
So, in a weird but fresh turn of events Phoenix decided to remix their popular single Trying To Be Cool this time featuring R Kelly. I'll let you come to your own conclusions.
On the meat of this plate. I just opened this email from Beat Mass that read about my blog on Viceroy's page. The collective duo of Mike Dwyer and Jake Brennan took Drake's new tune and gave it a tropical/pool party/nu disco vibe and I'm digging it. So glad I opened this email 45 seconds ago. Keep 'em coming Beat Mass, I'll be on the lookout from now on.
And now for some sophisticated Daytime Disco for your pool party needs I give you Goldroom's cover of St. Ides Heaven. Need not say more. It's that good.
And as the closer of this perfect summer weekend playlist I come bearing good news! D.S.F is back with his 90's throwbacks. This time it's TLC No Scrubs that gets his argentinean treatment in I Don't Want. It's as awesome as everything he does. Hit play, and then repeat. He released it on Y Este Finde Qué? summer compilation.
