Coincidently—or not— exactly one year ago Duke Dumont took over the world with his single Need U (100%) and that thing played throughout the year like the first time everywhere.
Since last week I haven't been able to stop playing this new single due out March 16th (you can pre-order here). Here's what you need to know about this awesome new song:
It's a Summer track in Winter. Marimbas, lovely tropical harmonies married perfectly with a deep and gloomy bass line. And when Jax Jones' vocals come out you feel the sun shining through. The repeating hook is as catchy as any pop song on the radio yet—to call it one, would be a dismissive comment of sorts. I truly believe this song can not only reach the heights of Need U (100%) but surpass them. It has that staying power and proof will be that mid-way through the year it will still be in really high rotation.
The bridge is a breath of fresh air with it's almost naked falsettos. Then, the song comes back to a party at the beach. And here, in the warm island of the Dominican Republic, this song resonates more than in Duke Dumont's head—if I may say so myself.
Enjoy this beauty of tropical proportions with your sunblock on.
