Rae Morris' Cold feat. Fryars is cool —no pun intended— on so many levels. Simple production with soaring vocals and a catchy chorus.
I think it's Inch Two Punch who produced this one and him and MNEK produced the rest of her upcoming album. You've heard her familiar vocals in songs like Rudimental's Powerless and Oliver Helden's Gecko. Caution To The Wind is a song inspired by idioms and it has like 11 or 13 I think it is. She intertwines them until they profess her feelings about her music right now.
Justin Martin remix Henry Krinkle's instant classic Stay and it's an interesting revisit to the original. This is a bass-heavy version of the original that stole our hearts and ears two years ago.
Among other things I called the original 'deep pop'. Back then I used to write much more thoughtful things about the songs I supported. Feel free to read my thought on the original when I was a writer at the kickass music blog Et Musique Pour Tous.
Mark Lower revisits the classic Teardrop in a nu disco fashion. His version features a bass line that has a life of its own. That, or maybe I just love everything Mark Lower has put out this year. He's one of my Top Producers of 2014 so far.
I fell in love with ParadisFM's Garde Le Pour Toi from the first play. It has everything we love about french indie pop. Frankly, this is song is.. well, parfait, tout simplement.
