Alright so this is ALL good. All good. Really. MIA is one of my favorite artists of all time, and "Paper Planes" is one of my favorite songs of all time. I still play it when I'm feeling thuggish and want to (pretend to) pop glocks and rob people.
ANYWAY - Eau Claire, one of the coolest disco gals you'll ever meet from Washington DC, came through with an exceptionally good upbeat groove laid underneath those famous "Paper Planes" vocals. She says...
"MIA dropped the original track in 2007, and with millions of plays and countless remixes, remixing the track was not an easy task. With the success of my last two releases I wanted to give my followers something familiar but new and inventive at the same time. Part of the challenge was flipping the original into a feel good dance track, keeping it fun and playful throughout. Growing up classically trained, piano is a major component of most of my tracks and as an electronic producer, I feel that piano helps to keep the music flowing naturally without sounding too computerized."
It's going to be a great year for Eau Claire, be sure to keep an eye on her!
