Perhaps our friend Austen reset himself. Perhaps inspiration ran in a different direction this time. But we are head over heels with the sax work, the feeling, the vocals by K. Flay and overall arrangement and production of this new original. It is quite a departure from the previous work -- and that is a great thing.
We loved the original Viceroy, heck we've been rooting for him from the beginning. But it was time to refresh the sound he helped become "mainstream".
This release might be the evidence that Viceroy's #summertimeallthetime sound will never disappear. I'm betting on it.
