I've been traveling a lot lately, hence the absence. Sorry about that. The good thing about it is this selection. Here are some tunes I've been listening to nonstop during those flights. In no particular order, we'll start with Koni's sick work of Shaun & Emma's cover of Rihanna & Drake's Work.
The simple complexity of Fhin's But Now A Warm Feel Is Running is just perfect. Oxymorons aside, this tune will take you to new heights. And if you're already flying high, it's just the perfect soundtrack.
Being the first blog on Hype Machine to write about Henri PFR, we can say with much judgement that this artist has grown in epic proportions. We're loving his new single Home. When I read his explanation into the song. I felt it had done the same exact thing to me on the last flight home yesterday.
I wrote this track when I was on tour and the only thing I was longing for was going home. Strangely enough the word « home home home » kept getting stuck in my head. I don’t know if you know what I mean but I needed to get back to the comfort of my house after being on the road for so long. I even missed the smell of my room and those little habits that make you feel good. Basically I wanted to feel the ‘Home Sweet Home’ thing.
INSTRUM's Night Rolls is just sonic bliss and we can't get enough of it. It's probably the track we've had on the highest rotation since we first heard it. Somni's vocals are on point and add great value to the instrumental.
If I could just get this song's chorus out of my head. If only Taylor Wise didn't make this goal harder to accomplish.
And then there's KOLAJ's 100 Degrees. It's like that song that you could swear you had heard before, but had not.
I heard this one and I was like 😦
My travel playlist this week starts with this one, and it's just perfect for taking off.
Here's my favorite tune from our boy Sam Feldt's new EP.
