Young Bombs take an already great original to new heights.Read More
Dan Griffith must be on a roll cause after his Burn remix topped the Popular chart on Hype Machine he gives us this. Usual patterns used in unusual ways. Here's the cool thing about it: it sounds like something you've heard before but you haven't. Gryffin is the perfect partner to Misterwives' Reflections.
This song is so interesting I don't even know where to put it. It's like Deep House with an orchestral twist to it. Woralks remix of Ferdinan Dreyssig & Marvin Hey's Coeur De La Nuit might be just that—the night's heart. It is a journey of sounds that takes us deeper and deeper as the song progresses yet we never leave the dance floor. Which is pretty cool if you ask me.
Say what? You were around in the 90's and you dug Haddaway's What Is Love? Well, Jaymes Young covered it and then Lost Frequencies made a bootleg of it in celebration of 420Easter
Oliver Nelson is a household name at Yaqui.co. He's one of the pioneers of the so called Tropical House or Beach Disco however you wanna call it. And we've been supporting him and his music from the start. While this navigates along the same waters as some of his past work ON manages to keep it fresh in the neighborhood.
Isaac Tichauer is one of my favorite house music producers of the last couple years and he has a new EP out of (one of my favorite labels) and Changes is my pick from it. It's dreamy, it takes you places, it brings you back, it makes you dance—it makes you think. It has the potential to become an Instant Classic.
Anton & Erik go by the name of Samuraii and they are the most recent act to come into the Tropical House/Summer Inspired music genre. Their remix of OneRepublic's Counting Stars hits the sand with a thump and a clap. They even chopped the vocals here and there to get the groove they wanted.
While we're at it, I'm also including their remix for BFL's Atlas Hands. Even though it might sound a bit too much like a Kygo remix, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. And I'm also including their White Tiger remix. I've been grooving to it all week long. I think it's my favorite of the bunch.
I'm only gonna say one thing about this one: what a cover. Blew me away.
Since some blogs already posted this track I refused to write about it last week. But it's been haunting me and it's too good not to share with you. I think they're going to hit it big with this one. H0ST as a band is destined for great things if you ask me.
Same thing about this Yannis remix. It's all over the place but I can't get enough of it. Sticky in the icky.
